Foley

GOP assumes responsibility as long as Clinton is around to take the blame.

Mr. President,
All the GOP scandals show that Republicans take on responsibility for their actions like water adheres to a duck's back.

Hastert claimed to take responsibility for Foley's folly by blaming ABC news, Soros and ex-president Clinton.

Obvious to all of us in the real world, Hastert just took a tip from watching you handle your miscalculations and judgement errors, blame someone else, preferably a Clinton.

Beyond the glare of pedaphile-seeking reporters, some notable activities have occurred.

The shadow of conspiracy has again reached the marble steps of the White House itself and Karl Rove's aide, Susan B. Ralston,
suddenly resigned after the Abramoff investigation uncovered her complicity in that ongoing scandal. Ralston worked for Abramoff before joining Karl Rove at the White House.

A colleague of hers claimed," She was a key organizer of presidential events. She will be missed because she solves problems."

I wondered who she called on to solve these "problems?" Who were those "problems," Bush detractors, or nosy reporters? Abramoff's lobbying buddies contacted Ralston 69 times. I am sure Ralston consistently rebuffed her ex-boss's request for no-bid contracts.

The other White House official caught up in the probe was David H. Safavian, the procurement chief for the Office of Management and Budget, who was convicted in June of lying about his ties to Abramoff.

There is of course, another notable White House member caught up in illicit activities. "Scooter" Libby was also charged in the Valerie Plame spy scandal.

He is presently attempting to
deluge the court with sensitive information about nine national security issues, the names, and details about various terrorist groups. He, no doubt, hopes the court will provide Vice President's ex-chief of staff with a premise to throw the case out of court because it would compromise National security to divulge such sensitive information.

If you can convince a judge you need to expose "secret" information in order to properly defend yourself, it is as good as a "get out of jail" free card.

North Korea always wanted to be noticed; now they have the world's attention and you helped junior. You made Kim a star.

There is no way your limited imagination ever considered all the turmoil you have brought to the world.

You have been stumbling along in the dark, with a candle in a dynamite factory. Your limited imagination and ignorance of world affairs served as self-imposed blinders to double your difficulty of navigating among the world's powder kegs.

Your consistent mantra of fear mongering about a dangerous world has finally become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Following in the same theme of avoiding responsibility; even Republican presidential hopeful John McCain found someone other than his Republican-dominated government to
blame for North Korea's nuclear test, ex-president Clinton. Don't laugh he actually said that.

Rocket scientists were not required for Mr. Kim to realize nukes are the only deterrent which would give you pause before invading his country. He has a TV; he saw what you did to fellow "axis member" Saddam Heusein.
It is not the fault of the administration that refused to negotiate with North Korea directly, nope; it has to be Clinton's fault.

As far fetched as that sounds it makes perfect sense when your party has nothing to show but one disaster after another.

Meanwhile, Iraq is not the only country spinning away from your influence. Russia and China recently made international news.

Russia is consolidating its energy resources and refuses to share their resources with the international community. It may be my imagination, but it even looks as though they accelerated their consolidation of energy resources after Cheney charged Putin for using his country's energy as a weapon a few months ago.

Gazprom, Russia's natural gas company, recently
broke off talks with five international companies who were looking to buy a stake in an offshore field in Russia. This is not the first oil venture Russia has shunned nor will it be the last.

In conclusion, I find it fascinating that the world has recognized China as the only major power who can deal with North Korea and has significant influence with Iran as well.

China has come to the fore front in international affairs, leaving the United States just sitting in its own stew. Without a doubt, it has to be Clinton's fault.

What a feeling, and yet there is much more to come.

Mr. President,
I have been feeling oddly satisfied lately, almost peaceful. It is not the same feeling I would get for saying "I told you so" to those disillusioned people who supported you, it is better than that.

Now that many major media networks have jumped on the "Bush is incompetent" and "Republicans are Immoral" wagon," I don't feel like a madman yelling into the wind anymore. The winds are not on your back anymore junior, they have severly shifted into a strong headwind and there is a huge chorus of voices in the air daring to question your policies and propaganda.

You have made so many egregious errors how could they help it? You made it easy to disparage you and your administration, it has even become popular to "Bash Bush."

When you proclaimed Iran, Iraq and North Korea as your axis of evil, I was dumbfounded by the extent of your stupidity.

You are such an uneducated, unenlightened shit. You are so easily led around by Crazy-Man Cheney and the other neo-conservatives in your midst.

Did they whisper in your ear; "If you do as we recommend, you will be honored for years Mr. President"; "You will surpass your father's achievements"; You are special; Trust us; God wants you to do this; You are special."

So, what have years of "go-it-alone " and "don't negotiate with people you don't like " policy got you?

Iraq has sucked up almost half a trillion dollars, and thousands of liters of American blood with no end in sight.

It's hard to believe that the United States, the world's super power, invades a small Mid-Eastern country with an emaciated infrastructure; a fourth rate army, and you still found a way to screw it up.

Despite the notorious image you gave Iran they have not been deterred from continuing their work on nuclear power. Anti-American extremist Muslim groups have sprouted up like weeds all over the world. Anti-American sentiment in general has grown in every country.

Lebanon's fledgling democracy has been essentially destroyed when you allowed Israel to bomb their country to pieces.

The Ukraine's "Orange revolution" has come off the tracks and has fallen back into Putin's sphere of influence.

And now North Korea has reportedly exploded a small atomic weapon. It was a puny explosion about a half-kiloton according to a senior intelligence official. I seem to remember another large explosion they set off a few years ago which left a large crater. Our intelligence agency said it was probably created by conventional explosives. Perhaps Kim is, toying with your emotions again.

Your daddy's man James Baker has been sent to bail you out of another mess. Daddy always comes through doesn't he? His bi-partisan committee has been working on the Iraq quagmire and may report that Iraq should be split along ethnic lines with an equal split of oil profits given to each tribe. That's just a guess; of course.

I was so disappointed when Foley's folly became big news.

Forget the lies about getting us into war, Delay's money laundering Cunningham's greed, and Abramoff "pay for play" influence peddling. It doesn't strike a chord with a majority of Americans who believe Congressmen are corrupt; it's just something many Americans expect, but pedophilia, really hits home. Everyone loves children and knows how vulnerable they are.

Didn't you warn all your Republican congressmen to stay away from little boys junior, because just like Monica's dress, they might get some on them?

Remember Watergate? it is not the act so much as it is the coverup that can cause the Republican house of cards to fall.

So many lines so little time.

Mr. President,

Condi's trip to the Mid East is too little too late. The Israel occupation and their merciless bombing of the Palestinian territories have always the main issue and every President since Carter knew it except you.

Her visit to Israel and Palestine is a long time coming.

Although she has been here before, it was always for show, perhaps that is all it is now; a sort of holding action like freezing the opponent's kicker with a time out, until you start a second "shock and awe" campaign in Tehran.

It is the key to resolving many of our woes in that area of the world, but we have done kissed too many Israeli asses to be effective.

It will be up to a different administration to begin this effort in earnest, and they will be starting in a hole so deep they will be able to smell rice cooking.

I am afraid that despite whether IF this a good-faith effort, or not it is a wasted effort.

The news about ex-Republican representative Mark Foley has so many possible lines for late night comics and lampoon-type of news articles.

"Bush says Democrats soft on terrorists, while Republicans are soft on young boys."

"Do you know Republicans don't use bookmarks they just bend over a page."

"Pressure builds on Republicans, until they find relief in the back chamber."

"House needs to get itself cleaned out prior to meeting secretly behind closed doors."

"Republican tattle tail."

"Foley folly foments fear with fellow repugs."

"Republican pedophile claims clergy was cheeky."

"Hastert hasn't heart to hurt household."

"Bush sticks it to Foley but bends over for Hastert."

If the Democrats fail to win at least the House of Representatives this November, it may be time to seriously want to either buy an ample amount of brown shirts and some shiny black hob-nailed boots; join an underground movement, build a bio-shelter, or move out of the country.
