Iraq war

The Mid East fiasco expands, as analysts pimp for the Pentagon.

Mr. President,
It has been a busy month.

It is not a good sign when an American president bets he will obtain some sort of salvation with a last-minute-miracle-Palestinian-Israel peace plan.
That former peanut farmer President Carter threw a wrench into your glamorous endeavor when he decided to talk to Hamas. Former President Jimmy Carter, the Nobel Peace Prize winner received nothing but grief from Israel and from Condoleeza for daring to try to establish a new peace initiative.
Could it be that former President
Carter will take all the glory as he gets Hamas to tentatively agree to a potential cease fire?

Your plans look pretty lame in comparison as
you attempt to revive your own peace plan.
Don't you think President Carter and the rest of the world knows, that you are doomed to fail once again? Look on the bright side junior, at the very least though, you'll have one last photo op with Jewish leaders as you kiss away your long-ignored and defunct
2002, "roadmap for peace".
Your administration and Israel can't seem to stand the idea that President Carter could possibly show the world how something as complex as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict could be addressed.
Indeed, Israel Ambassador Dan Gillerman called Carter's peacemaking efforts
"a very sad episode in American history."

But then again you were never much on diplomacy or negotiation. The new photos you brandished about the Israeli bombing of a supposed nuclear facility in Syria is proof of that.

Anyone who knows anything about how you manage foreign affairs knows your disdain for any and all organized world bodies. So it was no real surprised that you left the UN's IAEA International Atomic Energy Agency's
El Baradei out of loop when you withheld information on a possible Syrian nuclear reactor.
Non-Proliferation Treaty sets the IAEA as the agency which is assigned the responsibility to verify and establish facts about those situations.
Suspicious people believe that the photos were manufactured by Cheney to sabotage ongoing North Korean talks on nuclear disarmament. Or is it just your way of keeping a neutral body from analyzing the available information. As annoying as North Korea is to you let's not forget about the other one of your axis of evil countries Iraq.

You must like how Israel have walled off the Gaza Strip thereby effectively choking off water, fuel electricity, and all relief agency food supplies from going into the area. Unable to deal with the errant home made rocket attacks Israel has decided to slowly starve the entire Gaza population while the world watches, much like the world sat on their thumbs during Cambodian, Darfur, Sudan and Serbian atrocities

Walling off areas like the Mexican border and the Gaza Strip are all the rage now I guess as you have decided to start a wall for Iraq's Sadr city.
Building a wall around Bagdad's Sadr city is just the ticket for imprisoning an entire population of unruly constituents that want their country free of American occupiers.

Israel's famous wall around Gaza Strip has worked well for them why wouldn't you?

Al_Sadr followers do not like the newly proposed American wall. They may decide this wall as a rallying point to riot against their American invaders.

Another factor which might influence that fragile truce was Condeleeza's response to Sadr's threats to void their self-imposed cease fire. You really know how to pick diplomats junior.

She called Sadr a coward. That in a nutshell can be considered the hallmark of Bush diplomacy,

Rice praises Maliki while Al_Sadr threatens open war
While she was in the Mid East she
begged Iraq's neighbors for more support again and she failed again. Maybe she should call them cowards too.

Why wouldn't Iraq's neighbors help such a reputable country as the U.S? Maybe it is because we are a world-class torturer of suspects.

The major media has reported that your cabinet, with your knowledge and approval, met about how to best torture captured suspects. And they had the meeting right in the White House itself!

This "torture meeting" can be added to the growing known list of secret meetings along with Cheney's Energy task force meetings with Ken Lay and oil executives. These secret meetings to usurp our democracy will forever help to characterize your administration as a huge black stain on our American history.
Some constitutional lawyers say the decisions made in these "torture meetings" can be
considered war crimes.

The Iraqis have become angrier of the crimes you have imposed on them and are very more on edge than ever before.
"I don't want any reparations from the government. I want my revenge from God," the mother said outside her ruined home, which buried her dead children wearing bandages from her own injuries and a broken leg after American forces blew up a nearby house.
"Let the Americans listen: If they kill all the men, we will fight them. We: the women and the children. And if they take our weapons, we will fight them with stones and knives."
This is occurring as the the steel curtain you imposed on information about your administration is turning to tissue, a tissue of lies, deceit.

For example, more information has leaked out about your promotion of torture. You consistently told the world the U.S does not torture only to find out that you tortured the definition of torture.

The world community has a pretty good handle with centuries of history on what acts constitute torture. They do not consider yours or Alberto Gonzalez's definition as legitimate.

To reinforce just how far you went to assure people would be tortured we just learned that torturer-interrogators were given a
"get out of jail free" card.
Is it any wonder why our troops have such poor morale?

Despite increased tours of service, stop loss measures, recruitment of illegal immigrants, raised age limits for volunteers, lowered education standards, more allowable recruits convicted of felonies, and the hiring enough mercenaries like Blackwater to doubled the number of American boots on the ground, you have barely been able to keep up with the deaths, injuries and suicides our military has endured.

It will be more than a year to
end stop-loss program.” General Thurman said.
The toll of the Iraq war and repeated tours of service extension and stop loss has and a very unpopular
war has forced the military to accept more felons in Marines and the Army.

CBS recently had a story describing a
suicide rate which until now has never been spoken about in the major media.

The media has always ben the key to keeping your war and it's aftermath either out of American's mind or put into the most favorable light possible.

Military analyst whore for the Pentagon
paid journalists like Armstrong Williams big money for favorable stories . Williams, a prominent was pundit $240,000 for his efforts.
In 2002, syndicated columnist
Maggie Gallagher repeatedly defended President Bush's push for a $300 million initiative encouraging marriage as a way of strengthening families after she was paid a handsome fee.

So imagine my lack of surprise that you also paid people who have the aura of American heroes to pimp your story lines on Iraq progress.
These are the same people who touted the Jessica Lynch and Pat Tillman bullshit stories to pump up the war effort.

These are the same people who publicly tout the Pentagon's mandate that our soldiers coffins, burials and injuries should not be allowed on public television. They also were the ones who neglect to tell us how many Iraqis have been killed in this war, but are the first to tell us that a school was just painted.

I feel sorry for the analysts who refused to play along.
The tarnishing of our ex-military who serve as pundits and Pentagon whores is just one more variant of the Bush virus destroying what was once good about America, our ex-military heros.

Military Analysts use of Pentagon talking points

Those who didn't play along were cut off from lucrative contacts and important contacts.

Embedded military spokesmen, embedded reporters and Fox news, who can ask for a more effective propaganda machine.

You embedded journalists to keep a lid on bad news at the start of the war, it only makes sense to imbed military analysts to keep the bullshit rolling.

Since the article appeared in the New York Times Robert Hastings, principal deputy assistant secretary of defense for public affairs, said the
practice had been ended for now

Time is running out junior.

Tick tick ...tick tock. Your opportunities to morph the War on Terror into a war on Iran is running out of time. And what does it have to do with your personal apology to Egypt after our military killed an Egyptian vender?

Despite the last NIE report which states with "high confidence" that Iran is not building nuclear weapons, you have been slowly but surely trying to disenfranchise that bit of inconvenient news.

Where is Rumsfield, Cheney, and Doug Feith?

This is what happens when you don't directly control the intelligence. You should never have disbanded Rumsfield's Iran Study Group.

And how come Cheney failed to make the agencies cheery pick raw information from questionable sources as he did to justify the Iraq war.

The effort to overturn the disastrous NIE report has been long and arduous for you.

New "phony intelligence" had to be pulled together to remake the case for attacking Iran.

The first sign of damage control was when you specifically traveled to Israel to reassure them personally that the NIE report was not going to be an issue.

According to
one press report on your stay in Israel:

"He told the Israelis that he can't control what the intelligence community says, but that [the NIE's conclusions don't reflect his own views" about Iran's nuclear weapons program, said the official, who would discuss intelligence matters only on the condition of anonymity.

The so-called "
almost an attack" by a small Iranian boat occurred coincidentally when you were on your Middle East tour.

The event was discarded after some initial investigation proved that the small boat was not a threat.

Thank God for "Mr. lock and seriously loaded Cheney," has been on a
war with Iran rant for quite a while now. I don't think he knows anything else besides pushing war and torture.

According to a White House transcript of an interview with ABC's Martha Raddatz, Cheney said:
"Obviously, they're also heavily involved in trying to develop nuclear weapons enrichment, the enrichment of uranium to weapons grade levels."

The Pentagon also said they were building
a base near the Iraq-Iran border. Their rational is that it's purpose is to stem the flow of weapons into Iraq from Iran. Although it sounds plausible, it is also a great way to amass troops on Iran's border.

Then there was the
recent dismissal of Admiral Fallon, our top U.S. commander for the Iraq and Afghanistan wars , who publicly disagreed with your saber-rattling on Iran and said that a war with Iran would not happen on his watch.

Not all your efforts are successful. For example, the
UN Security Council shot down your request to add Iranian Bank Melli to a list of Iranian entities facing sanctions which would require other countries to stop doing business with it and effectively cut off Iran from foreign capital.

To no one's surprise this last June we found out you had the Central Intelligence Agency conduct an
information war against several countries in the Middle East, including Iran, Lebanon and Syria.

And today there was an
attack on an Iranian mosque. Did we have anything to do with that?

Was the attack initiated by your efforts to destabilize the Iranian government?

Today you issued a statement that the violence in Basra and Bagdad was because of Iran and al-Qaeda.

It is hard not to notice how you are morphing al-Qaeda and Iran as one and the same just like you morphed 9/11 and Saddam Heussein into one common enemy.

If I were a suspicious person, I would say Israel's attack on Syria's "nuclear facility" was only to be the first step in establishing a scenario to have Israel, with the support of our military, attack Iran.

The rhetoric against Iran has been a steady drum roll for several months now. Phony reports about, Iran's nuclear weapons labs, so-called "attempted attacks" on our ships, Iran made IED's in Iraq, Iraqi insurgent training in Iran, and now newly discovered missile bases are slowly added to the list which you could one day attempt to spring on the American public as justification to attack or join Israel in an attack on Iran.

Petraeus made repeated references to Iran during his last visit to Capital Hill. You followed up with your own repeated references to Iran as well.

It is not going to be easy to pull off a pre-emptive attack on Iran during an election year junior.

The Democrats are blaming your multi-billion dollar wars for one of the reasons our economy has gone to hell.

Most Americans have heard of the billions of dollars you are spending on a war they now know was not needed. Those billions of dollars could have been used to help homeowners and college kids. That money could have been spent to hire Americans to repair our failing roads and bridges.

It is getting harder and harder to justify why millions of Americans are paying the highest prices on record for gas, and food while they see the value of their homes head south.

Are you so deluded that you believe a new war would be good for the economy and for the Republican Party?

And then, there are the Russians and China. They have both publicly supported Iran and have squashed any additional U.N. sanctions on Iran.

If you are not careful, you may have a proxy war with Russia and China.

There is one other thing that confuses me. Why did you recently
apologize to Egypt for accidentally killing an Egyptian vender on his boat near the Suez canal?

Did you want to keep the incident from screwing up some prior tacit approval from Egypt to look the other way when hostilities begin with Iran?

You have killed hundreds of thousands, imprisoned thousands, and destroyed the lives of millions in the Mid East without any hint of remorse. So what makes the death of a 28 year-old Egyptian so special right now?
