Condelezza Rice

Israel and your neo-cons have set up Condi as the world's pinata.

Mr. President,
Although every time you let Israeli loving neo-cons tell you what to do you wind up with shit on your face, it's Condi who has become the world's pinata this week.

Israel must have been planning this offensive into Lebanon for a while. Hezbollah was caught off guard. They didn't think Israel would over react to the degree they did. The practice of
kidnapping then exchanging soldiers has dated back to 1948. It is nothing new.

In July, 1996 Hizballah released the bodies of two Israeli soldiers Joeseph Fink and Rahamin Alsheich for 123 Lebanese soldiers.

In June, 1998 Hizballah returned the body of Sergeant First-class Itamar for the bodies of 40 Hizballah soldiers.

In January, 2004 Israel released 436 prisoners including 400 Palestinians 23 Lebanese two Syrians three Moroccans three Sudanese a Libyan and a German Muslim plus the bodies of 59 Lebanese soldiers in exchange for three Israel soldiers and an Israeli spy Sheikh Abdel Kareem Obaid.

There have many other Israeli prisoner exchanges with Palestinians the PLO Hamas over the years.

"According to the Ramallah-based Mandela Institute for Human Rights, there is 9,600 Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli jails and detention centers, among them 130 Palestinian women. Defense for Children International puts the number of Palestinian children in Israeli custody at 388."

So why did Israel react violently this time?

The early press dispatches from Israel indicated they considered their incursion into Lebanon a "Blitzkrieg" fashioned attack. Israel's plan fell apart pretty quickly after thousands of bombs and artillery shells failed to quell the number of rocket attacks from Hizbollah.

It is important to note, Hizbollah did not fie rockets until Israel began their bombing attack on Lebanon.

Although Hizbollah was surprised by the ferocity of Israel's response, they obviously dispensed their weapons and soldiers well throughout the southern area. They had dug and fortified tunnel systems. They also established back up communications methods which the Israelis underestimated.

The nonstop video of dead women and children pulled from the rubble has incensed the world. Although Israel makes, a point of stating they dropped leaflets prior to bombing the south of Lebanon to tell civilians to leave the area they refuse to guarantee safe passage out. Ambulances and caravans of people who had the means or the money to leave were routinely bombed; some would say intentionally. And indeed Israel has bombed all areas of Lebanon including the Christian north and the middle of the country not just the Hizbollah southern region.

The UN
observers who have been stationed in the neutral zone posts for years had been in direct contact with Israeli military, and it didn't help them. The UN observers called ten times in six hours telling Israel their shells were approaching their observation post. Each time the Israeli commander said they would stop, but they didn't, and four UN personnel were killed. Even the rescuers were fired on by Israel gunners. The UN was extremely upset by the apparent intentional targeting of the UN personnel but once again the United States stood against the rest of the world as they blocked a resolution condemn and initiating an investigate of the UN post bombing.

Condi thought she could eke out a cease fire when Hezbollah took the first step and offered to cooperate in a cease fire but Israel quickly dismissed it.

Although Israel rejected the offer, I bet Condi
thought she had something to work with. She must have been furious when Israel cut the legs out from under her efforts when they bombed the village of Qana and killed scores of women and children.

Lebanon's Prime Minister Seniora angrily told Condi to stay away from Lebanon until Israel stops their merciless bombing of Lebanon and its infrastructure.

She should have realized that U.S. neo-cons and Israel have always been joined at the hip. There is no way people like Cheney and his cabal of neo-conservatives or Israel will let her get anything accomplished. They love this war and see it as a major goal of their efforts to make Israel the ultimate power in the region regardless of just cause or Arab blood shed in the process.

Poor Condi is caught between parroting your message to support Israel and world pressure. She has become everyone's pinata.

The ramifications of your actions will affect mutual cooperation, trade agreements and social attitudes towards the U.S. for years to come. But you have never concerned yourself with what the world thought so why start now?

You have made America, so easy to hate as the world's pariah.

The phrase "George Bush and Israel, butchers of children," has a nice ring to it in Oslo.

As of now Israel said it is temporarily suspending the aerial attack to investigate their latest atrocity but they didn't say anything about a full cease fire. It's a nice feint, but that's all. Their repeated attacks on the West Bank and Gaza have given them lots of practice with pretending to care.

Bombing of Lebanon should continue until democracy breaks out.

Mr. President,
Although Cheney and Rice do not like each other, they both seem to agree that the decimation of Lebanon is good for different reasons.

In Rome, Condi sees
opportunity in the Lebanon battle and says Lebanon will be stronger for it in the end with a stronger democracy than what they had before. Does she really believe this crap, is she parroting your misguided and foolish ideals or just stalling for time to allow Israel more time to bomb the crap out of Lebanon?

Mr. "locked and loaded" Cheney, on the other hand uses a different set of rose-colored glasses when he views Lebanon.

Cheney spoke at a fundraising appearance last Friday, for GOP congressional candidate, Gus Bilirakis, a state legislator who is running for the Tampa Bay area congressional seat.
ABC news covered the event and reported that "Vice-president Dick Cheney pointed to the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah as fresh evidence of the ongoing battle against terrorism that underscores the need to keep President Bush's Republican allies in control of Congress."
may02
You had no compunction to politicize the events of 9/11 as part of your reelection campaign so it makes sense that Cheney would politicize the death and destruction in Lebanon to help reelect Republican Congressmen in a desperate attempt to keep Republican in control of both houses and keep himself and you from being impeached.
may06
If Democrats take the House they will hold investigations of every controversial and probably illegal action since you took the office.

I can appreciate the desperate situation you and Cheney find yourself in.

How can Cheney " be so whacked out to think that the resulting and significantly higher level of danger to Americans brought about by all your monumental screw ups can become a plus in a re-election campaign for Republicans?

Speaking about Mr. "Locked-and-Seriously-loaded", he should know about a duck hunter who was recently
diagnosed with a strain of Avian Flu. He might have to wear that chemical suit he carries around with him before he goes shooting for
may04 may05
An American duck hunter and two state wildlife employees had contracted an uncommon type of bird flu virus in their blood. So Cheney better cut back on the number of hunting trips he has to shoot fellow hunters. He may want to hunt in his chemical suit.

The virus found in their blood stream was H11N9 bird virus, which is not known to be dangerous to humans.

The deadly Avian virus circulating in wild and domestic birds is H5N1.

"To our knowledge, this study is the first to show direct transmission of influenza A virus from wild birds to humans," Dr. James Gill of the University of Iowa and colleagues wrote in their report. But the medical implication is that bird virus can and will evolve into a form which will infect humans, so haw far away is the deadly for of bird flu? No one knows, nature will decide that for us. Mother nature is a bitch sometimes.

Speaking about bitches, Neo-conservatives have no apparent love for Condi, but if she can stage for an invasion of Syria and Iran they will be the first to make Condi their pin up girl. Cheney is doing his part by consistently attacking Russia's management of their oil, China's military buildup, North pursuit of beginning Armageddon, and finally Iran and Syria's obvious need to be bend to his will.

The worse the world becomes the more Cheny seems to revel in the ashes of your presidency, like a dog who joyfully rolls around in its own shit.

Republicans racism Reagan and the Mideast.

Mr. President,
What are the odds that the same Americans who couldn't get enough of watching riots involving black-on-black crime such as the Watts, and the Roodney King riots are probably the same people who are drawn to the Iraqi on Iraqi violence playing out before them? And what is the probability that these people who watch with detachment and lack of empathy for lives of Iraqis caught up in the violence of civil war, are republicans?
may04 may09 may03
In each of the above mentioned American race riots which occurred, blacks were killed and businesses that served the black community were destroyed. The Iraqi civil war is claiming thousands of Iraq lives and destroying what America has not already decimated in Iraq.

National organizations such as the NAACP have first hand knowledge of how the republican party uses racist wedge issues to win elections especially in southern states. Don't mislead yourself junior, that after you finally decided to speak at their conference recently, more blacks are going to suddenly become republicans. The extremely low level of blacks in the GOP is indicative of the republican historical racist agenda. Although some GOP members says the party is a large tent which incorporates a diversity of opinions; they don't mention that blacks and Hispanics are the waiters and dish washers in that big tent.

Strong biases and racism is not a new wrinkle in republican attitudes. It seems to be a requirement for party affiliation. When AIDS became big news during the Reagan administration, the president had an opportunity to stem the flow of the disease by simply informing the public about the dangers of unprotected sex and the deadly consequence of the disease. But since it was advertised by religious right-minded republicans as a Gay disease, he chose to sit on the
sidelines and let 41,027 americans died and 71,176 were diagnosed with AIDS in the U.S. in 1987. Not only did he withhold critical information from the people he supported his Education Secretary William Bennet who said the Government should NOT provide sex education even when he knew it would save American lives.

The Gipper was a racist, a homophobe and a pliable stooge for right wing elements of his party. When the pressure was on during the McCarthy witch hunt in the 50's, Reagan and his first wife Jane Wyman turned in fellow actors to McCarthy as communist sypathizers . No one was ever convicted or even brought to trial, but it showed the kind of man Reagan was. Oddly enough his nickname was "The Great Communicator."

The obvious racist history of your Republican-led government provides some insight about how your party really views the Iraqis. And it probably set the tone for handling Iraqi's mission-adjusted goals which are modified as your justifications for war are knocked down one by one.

The mission statement has changed significantly from the original premise of removing Saddam's weapons of mass destruction, to removing the capability of developing weapons of mass druction to removing the systems which may give them the capability to develop weapons of mass destruction. As neither weapons nor capability nor systems to develop any weapons were found to exist, the mission was then radically changed to freeing the Iraqi people and instilling democracy. Recently the mission statement has morphed because of the civil war.

The Lebanon crisis overshadowed an
announcement from General Abizaid about deploying more troops to Bagdad. What are they going to do there is anyone's guess. Japan just withdrew their troops from Iraq. The other countries which have withdrawn their troops are Italy, Spain, Romania, Poland, Ukraine, Nicaragua, and Honduras. Basically it's just you and the British that are left there to handle the two waring factions in Iraq.

Back in the United States one of the most dangerous calls a policeman or policewoman can get is a family disturbance call. The cop has to quickly assess the situation and figure out what to do, who is wrong who is right and what to do about it. It takes experience good listening skills and some luck sometimes to avoid getting caught in the middle. It is a high risk situation for personal injury to the policeman, because of the high emotional state of the parties; they can easily turn on the intervener.

Back to Iraq. Who do our troops support in Iraq's civil war? Do you tell our troops to sit on the sidelines? Tell them to treat Iraq's civil war like you are treating Lebanon?

I enjoyed Condi's photo op in Beirut touting your fantasy of a "durable solution". She promised $ 30 million dollars in humanitarian aid to Leabon while you are rushing jet fuel and missiles to Israel to bomb Lebanon out of existence. I think the cost for Condi's personal protection on this trip probably cost more than what she has promised to Lebanon. I'm sure the Lebonese people are grateful you only gave the Israelis jet fuel and missiles and didn't give Israel chemical weapons to use on Lebanon.

No doubt, your racist GOP base is best reflected by Ann Coulter who is most likely to say what they are actually thinking. She may be a bitch who likes to make outrageous statements to sell her books, but she is also the alter ego for the neo-conservatives and right wing nuts who make up your base.

And she will tell you to stay consistent with decades of republican philospohy, "Let the sand niggers kill each other off and let Allah sort them out just make sure our oil supply is well protected."
