Qana, where Jesus turned water into wine and Israel turns children into dust.

Mr. President,
Qana, the city where the Bible states Jesus turned water into wine, is where Israel has been is now well known for turning children into dust. This recent bombing is not the first time Israel has targeted and killed innocent civilians in this village.
may03 may04

The first time Israel
attacked Qana was on April 18, 1996 during a massive military offensive on Lebanon code named "Operation Grapes of Wrath," where about 800 civilians who were gathered in a UN Interim Forces base (UNIFL) in the village of Qana. Around 2 PM, many proximity-fused shells crashed into the UN civilian refugee encampment. After the smoke cleared 106, people were killed. The UN was able to investigate that situation. "The Van Knappen report indicated that IDF officials of "some seniority " were involved in orders to fire upon the base, which they knew was sheltering hundreds of civilians. International human rights organizations also conducted investigations and concluded that the shelling of the UNIFIL compound was most likely deliberate, not mistaken."

It marked the beginning of the end of the Israeli incursion. On April 26, 1996, U.S. Secretary of State Christopher was able to produce an understanding between Israel, Lebanon, the Hizballah and Syria that effectively ended Operation "Grapes of Wrath."

Today's American-supplied smart missiles provided a significantly better means of targeting and destruction of specific targets. So the objective of killing scores of civilians was achieved with a smarter weapon. The difference this time is your desired fantasy outcome for this battle and steadfast support for more death and destruction until democracy breaks out, will not allow the UN to bring a halt to this senseless killing or allow a UN investigation.

Is it another coincidence or has it just become a Jewish habit to purposefully target and kill Lebanese civilians?

The more I read about your Mideast ally's action both past and present, the clearer the picture becomes.

There are always survivors from every massacres, and they remember. It’s ironic that a people who suffered through the holocaust would forget that.

Israel and your neo-cons have set up Condi as the world's pinata.

Mr. President,
Although every time you let Israeli loving neo-cons tell you what to do you wind up with shit on your face, it's Condi who has become the world's pinata this week.

Israel must have been planning this offensive into Lebanon for a while. Hezbollah was caught off guard. They didn't think Israel would over react to the degree they did. The practice of
kidnapping then exchanging soldiers has dated back to 1948. It is nothing new.

In July, 1996 Hizballah released the bodies of two Israeli soldiers Joeseph Fink and Rahamin Alsheich for 123 Lebanese soldiers.

In June, 1998 Hizballah returned the body of Sergeant First-class Itamar for the bodies of 40 Hizballah soldiers.

In January, 2004 Israel released 436 prisoners including 400 Palestinians 23 Lebanese two Syrians three Moroccans three Sudanese a Libyan and a German Muslim plus the bodies of 59 Lebanese soldiers in exchange for three Israel soldiers and an Israeli spy Sheikh Abdel Kareem Obaid.

There have many other Israeli prisoner exchanges with Palestinians the PLO Hamas over the years.

"According to the Ramallah-based Mandela Institute for Human Rights, there is 9,600 Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli jails and detention centers, among them 130 Palestinian women. Defense for Children International puts the number of Palestinian children in Israeli custody at 388."

So why did Israel react violently this time?

The early press dispatches from Israel indicated they considered their incursion into Lebanon a "Blitzkrieg" fashioned attack. Israel's plan fell apart pretty quickly after thousands of bombs and artillery shells failed to quell the number of rocket attacks from Hizbollah.

It is important to note, Hizbollah did not fie rockets until Israel began their bombing attack on Lebanon.

Although Hizbollah was surprised by the ferocity of Israel's response, they obviously dispensed their weapons and soldiers well throughout the southern area. They had dug and fortified tunnel systems. They also established back up communications methods which the Israelis underestimated.

The nonstop video of dead women and children pulled from the rubble has incensed the world. Although Israel makes, a point of stating they dropped leaflets prior to bombing the south of Lebanon to tell civilians to leave the area they refuse to guarantee safe passage out. Ambulances and caravans of people who had the means or the money to leave were routinely bombed; some would say intentionally. And indeed Israel has bombed all areas of Lebanon including the Christian north and the middle of the country not just the Hizbollah southern region.

The UN
observers who have been stationed in the neutral zone posts for years had been in direct contact with Israeli military, and it didn't help them. The UN observers called ten times in six hours telling Israel their shells were approaching their observation post. Each time the Israeli commander said they would stop, but they didn't, and four UN personnel were killed. Even the rescuers were fired on by Israel gunners. The UN was extremely upset by the apparent intentional targeting of the UN personnel but once again the United States stood against the rest of the world as they blocked a resolution condemn and initiating an investigate of the UN post bombing.
qana-hphoto-full
Condi thought she could eke out a cease fire when Hezbollah took the first step and offered to cooperate in a cease fire but Israel quickly dismissed it.

Although Israel rejected the offer, I bet Condi
thought she had something to work with. She must have been furious when Israel cut the legs out from under her efforts when they bombed the village of Qana and killed scores of women and children.

Lebanon's Prime Minister Seniora angrily told Condi to stay away from Lebanon until Israel stops their merciless bombing of Lebanon and its infrastructure.
PH2006072900116
She should have realized that U.S. neo-cons and Israel have always been joined at the hip. There is no way people like Cheney and his cabal of neo-conservatives or Israel will let her get anything accomplished. They love this war and see it as a major goal of their efforts to make Israel the ultimate power in the region regardless of just cause or Arab blood shed in the process.

Poor Condi is caught between parroting your message to support Israel and world pressure. She has become everyone's pinata.
condoleezzarice_wideweb__470x266,0
The ramifications of your actions will affect mutual cooperation, trade agreements and social attitudes towards the U.S. for years to come. But you have never concerned yourself with what the world thought so why start now?

You have made America, so easy to hate as the world's pariah.

The phrase "George Bush and Israel, butchers of children," has a nice ring to it in Oslo.

As of now Israel said it is temporarily suspending the aerial attack to investigate their latest atrocity but they didn't say anything about a full cease fire. It's a nice feint, but that's all. Their repeated attacks on the West Bank and Gaza have given them lots of practice with pretending to care.

Israel may own the skies but Hezbollah owns the Arab world's heart.

Since you won't speak with Syria, I thought I should. I sent the Syrian ambassador to the United States, Imad Moustapha an e-mail asking him what it would take to get him to intervene in the Lebanese disaster.
060728_lebanon_hmed_330a.h2
Hizbullah is top dog in the area now. They were formed as a backlash to Israel's occupation in 1982 and this new invasion has only strengthened their hand. Israel seem to have mimiced your half-ass effort in Iraq by not committing enough troops to get the job done.

Condi's show on the road is just that, she should include a comedian and a singer or two to entertain her hosts iinstead. Maybe if she had a USO show with her, the Arab world would have allowed her to land in one of their countries rather than having her plans modified to hold her non-meeting in Rome instead.

Jordan, Egypt and Saudi Arabian Sunni-led governments are panicky. The Shiite-Hezbollah have become the heroes of the Arab world. The Saudis are distancing themselves from Washington and made a huge show of making multi-million aid
pledges for Lebanon and Palestinians.

Al Qaeda has recently also piled on and called for an all out war against Israel.

The divisive and symbiotic relationship America has with Israeli has already cost us dearly. I can't imagine to what heights the Arab world will go, to punish both countries in the future.

It is not just the Arab world that has increased their disdain for America. The U.S was alone again in utilizing the UN to keep the world body from denouncing the Israelis for the killing of UN observers and to call for a cease fire.

The U.S. is once again standing alone in the world.

John Bolton's confirmation in Congress should be interesting; he has done everything possible to bring the organization
down to its knees. He has withheld payments to the organization, obstructed reforms that the UN body wanted to undertake. He has also interrupted meetings he was not even invited to. According to a New York Times article,
story
"They say he combatively asserts American leadership, contests procedures at the mannerly, rules-bound United Nations and then shrugs off the organization when it does not follow his lead."

Ironically today you and Blair are putting together a UN
resolution for a new international stabilization force in Lebanon and calling for the disarming of militias.
story8a9ae21f04c9394d795e94c61085652c

You cite the need for UN help after previously obstructing the same body at every turn through your surrogate ambassador, and after Israel apparently
targeted the killing of unarmed UN observers.

I don't expect a reply from the Syrian ambassador, but I think I have done more than you to quell the violence.

Why do you hate all Muslims so much?

Mr. President,
Why does America hate Muslims so much? This question is being asked around the world.. Why are they allowing innocent Lebanese men women and children to die at the hands of an overzealous Israeli military? The few deaths on the Israeli side are not getting nearly the press around the world except on Fox.

Every day the volume and intensity of the Arab voices around the world is increasing to a crescendo. The world has grown callous to the Israeli atrocities occurring throughout the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, but the recent bombing and systematic destruction of Lebanese society, the wanton bombing of sewage plants, electrical and water systems are clear violations of the Geneva Convention. Israel's sophisticated weapons, which America provides allowed them to hit Lebanese untilities such as water sewage and electrical systeems have been purposely hit. Today I heard an Israeli general describe the up-coming occupation of Lebanon as a more of a "blitzkrieg" attack. Was this a freudian slip?

The Times just reported, "The decision to quickly ship the
weapons to Israel was made with relatively little debate within the Bush administration, the officials said. Its disclosure threatens to anger Arab governments and others because of the appearance that the United States is actively aiding the Israeli bombing campaign which is comparable to Iran’s arming and resupplying of Hezbollah."

You allowed Gonzalez and Rumsfield to set a wonderful example of how the so-called gold-standard of democracies in the world treat their prisoners. Abu Gharib Guantanimo Haditha and our extraordinary rendition policy are just a few examples of today's American-style democracy. The world has also seen less obvious aspects as well such as the jailing of reporters, the suspension of habeas corpus, the captivity of American citizens for years without access to legal representation, the racist culture, the corruption of our lawmakers, the lack of concern for the poor as shown with the Katrina disaster and unavailability of health insurance to cover even the basic health care needs.

Anti-American/anti-Israeli
demonstrations were held in Arab-speaking nations like Iran, Palestine, Egypt, Syria, Jordan Yemen and even Iraq. Scores of demonstrations around the world also happened in non-Arab nations such as Germany and France.

  • The diplomatic faux pas are adding up and they are cumulative.
22arabs600.1
  • You refused to ask for a cease fire.
  • Your refused to condemn Israel and did the opposite, you are even using the same talking points as Israel.
  • America was the only UN member to block resolution to halt military offensive in the Gaza Strip
  • The U.S. did not send anyone into the area to attempt to stop the violence. You are purposely dragging your feet by kidding yourself that Israel will kill off Hezbollah.
  • You actually said that Israel's bombing is necessary for peace! Sounds like you don't care if Israel bombs the whole country back to the 14th century.
  • The U.S professes to support the fledgling democracy in Lebanon on one hand but not enough to tell Israel to call off or pause the bombing.

Israel invaded two countries with democratically-elected governments and yet we do nothing to intervene. Hamas and Hezbollah's kidnapping of Israeli soldiers, both provoked some type of reaction from Israel, but they went way overboard, and it will haunt both America and Israel for many years to come.

All in all today's fire storm in the Mideast gives your line about democracies not attacking each other, just more bullshit.

What did you tell Putin recently at the G8
conference?
"I talked about my desire to promote institutional change in parts of the world, like Iraq where there's a free press and free religion, and I told him that many people in our country would hope that Russia would do the same," Bush said.
To which Putin responded: "We certainly would not want to have the same kind of democracy that they have in Iraq, quite honestly."

Your administration has given democracy such a bad name. It is the aids-black death, and anthrax of governments all rolled up into one package.

Instead of promoting democracy you have done just the opposite. And you have put those few Arab countries that still talk to us, in peril.

This is going to end badly for America and Israel. Americans can't keep ignoring the level of anger, your neo cons and the insane support for Israel have caused.

Sending Condi to the area is a useless gesture since she is only taking to one side. What is this high school? " We can't talk to Iran, Lebanon and Syria because they hate you." This is called statesmanship it is hard and it means dealing with all kinds of people not just the ones who agree with us. If we had this group around when Russia was sending missiles to Cuba, we would all have been radioactive dust.

How does it feel to be Israel's bitch?

Mr. President,
Sometimes life presents us with an opportunity to use some old skills we learned in high school we thought we would never use again. It might be hitting a pitched baseball, kicking a football, or in your case cheer leading.

Regular high school was out of the question for his precious son so your rich daddy sent you to the Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, a very private all-boy high school. Home of the Warriors. Your time spent at Andover was forgettable. You didn't qualify to participate in any sport, but you had school spirit so they made you head cheerleader. Who knew those cheer-leading skills would come in so handy in your current position?

Lebanon is a blaze. Israel is slowly destroying the country's infrastructure. Lebanon's fledgling democratic government is in peril. Hezbollah has hijacked the country into this conflict with Israel. The Lebanese government stands to lose whatever little influence it had on moderate Lebanese people. Israel is so gun-ho it can't see how it is being led by the nose. It has been a public relation coup for the radical Hezbollah party.

All you have done so far is call Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora and said you would urge Israel to limit attacks against Lebanon and avoid injuring innocent civilians. Since you refuse to participate with other nations and rebuke Israel for overreacting to the situation in Lebanon, all you can do is lead a cheer as you did for the Andover Warriors. Go Warriors, Go Siniora!

The only friend you met on this trip was German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Your family has had a long-time connection with Germany. Your grandfather, Prescott Bush, was a director and shareholder of companies that financially supported the Nazi Party in 1930's and 1940's Germany.

Stories about your grandfather's financial support for Hitler have circulated for many years, but a news article from The Guardian Unlimited cites the proof.

Prescott Bush's involvement continued His business dealings with Hitler, until his company's assets were seized in 1942 by the U.S. Government under the Trading with the Enemy Act.
may04

Declassified documents in 2003 from the US National Archive links your grandfather to the Consolidated Silesian Steel Company CSSC a company which used Nazi slave labor from the concentration camps, including Auschwitz.
According to a Guardian Unlimited article back in 2004, Three sets of archives explain Prescott Bush's involvement. All three were once readily available, from the Library of Congress in Washington and the National Archives at the University of Maryland.
I would almost bet that those archives listed in the newspaper article were suddenly reclassified. This may be why the
National Archives were recently raided by your agencies.
I was really curious why all of a sudden previously unclassified documents dating back to the 30's were removed and reclassified as "secret."

Perhaps one reason you are so afraid of confronting Israel is a little-known case which was filed against the Bush fortune by two former slave laborers at Auschwitz?

"The case is built around a January 22 1944 executive order signed by President Franklin Roosevelt calling on the government to take all measures to rescue the European Jews, according to a Guardian Unlimited article ,The lawyers claim the order was ignored because of pressure brought by a group of big American companies, including BBH, where Prescott Bush was a director."

Does the lawsuit against your family explain your reluctance to act against Israeli interests? Are they holding that evidence against you?
Even before I knew about your family connections to Hitler, I saw the tactics you used to consolidate your power and I told my brother-in-law back in 2002; you were the closest thing to Hitler this country ever saw. All your nefarious activities since then have only confirmed that perception. Maybe you are channeling your grandfather?

Happy Fourth of July kiddies

Mr. President,
Across the country, this Fourth of July, millions of people will stake out their spots under the night sky and enjoy the multi-colored firework displays as they light up the night. Some small children will huddle up next to their parents as the noise from the bright exploding ordinance assault their small ears.

Thousands of miles away in Gaza small children are also huddling next to their parents and are crying in fear for a different reason. Israeli jets are intentionally flying at supersonic speed over their homes. The sonic booms are said to sound like the earth itself is exploding. The jets criss cross the skies over the refugee camp all night long .

The jets are just another tactic used by the Israelis to deprive and frighten the people into having their leaders hand over a hostage Israeli soldier that a group of radical Arabs kidnapped.

The electricity and water supplies have been bombed. The bridges around the camp have been destroyed as well.

Most of the people in Gaza have apparently hunkered down in their homes waiting for the inevitable Israeli assault. The food in the refregerators has long spoiled. Toilets have to be backing up because water systems and electricity for water pumps is not available; the smell must be horrific. Food is probably running out and any food they do have is probably useless without water and electricity to cook it with.

The whole Gaza strip will soon become a humanitarian disaster; ironically it has been orchestrated by a nation of people who themselves were tortured and murdered by the Nazis in Germany. They may say "Never forget" but they didn't say "Never do it to someone else." Its ridiculous to say they will put people in gas chambers but they are followed a disturbing pattern of escalating violence against innocent people who had nothing to do with the kidnapping of the Israeli soldier.

Israel stated they are going to go all out to get him back. Israeli blood is apparently a thousand times more valuable than Arab blood.
Thousands of Arabs have been killed followed by hundreds of Israelis killed in the ongoing battle.

I hate to break it to you but the Jews firing artillary shells into Gaza neighborhoods are not like the character Tevia from Fiddler on the Roof. The pilots shooting missles at Hamas government officials, are not the beared black-robed Hassidics you see on the streets of New York. The Israeli military have shown themselves to be just as savage and mercilessly as their Nazis captors were during 1930's in Germany.

The present siege of the Gaza strip looks like the infamous Krystall Nacht of 1938, the night of broken glass, when Hitler sent his brown shirts to break the windows of every Jewish home and business in Munich.

On the nights of November 9 and 10, 1938, gangs of Nazi youth roamed through Jewish neighborhoods breaking windows of Jewish businesses and homes, burning synagogues and looting. In all 101 synagogues were destroyed and almost 7,500 Jewish businesses were destroyed. 26,000 Jews were arrested and sent to concentration camps, Jews were physically attacked and beaten. About 91 died during those two days and it marked the beginning of Hitler's "final solution."
The cruelty shown to the jews in 1938 is reminiscent of what they are doing to the people of Gaza today.

Just to complete the scenario, Israel has also kidnapped a significant number of Palestinian government cabinet members, and have threatened to kill their Prime Minister.

No one knows how this will end but given the Israeli and Palestinian response to past events dictate that it won't end well for anyone including us.

One day those frightened children in Gaza may become tomorrow's jihadists. They will no doubt turn their hatred of Israel to the Americans who support them as well.

Our unfailing suppport for Israel and the fact we stationed our U.S military in their holy land, are the reasons our embassies were bombed, the U.S.S. Cole was attacked and the Twin Towers were brought down.

Future jihadists already have our occupation of Iraq to justify future attacks on our homeland, the seige of Gaza is just one more potential nail in the coffins of our chidren.

Its bad enough that the present generation of Americans are under threat of terrorist attack; your foreign policy has significantly increased the chances that those children clinging to us under the night sky this Fourth of July may live a continuous life of fear as well.
